Kids for Kids East Asia (14th-16th August, 2011; Busan,) Calling all young filmmakers aged 6-24 to send their films made for children & family of a duration up to 20 minutes and in any themes or forms.
As an Asia Branch Network for Global KFKF supervised by CIFEJ(International Center of Film for Children and Young People), BiKi aims to discover films by gifted children or young directors and develop new contents in the relevant fields.
Busan International Kids' Film Festival (BiKi), the only children's film festival in South Korea, aims at helping children to communicate each other through visual media and to develop the festival led by themselves. Therefore, many children are welcomed to participate in the festival directly as program guides or juries. Along with film screenings, various events such as theme events, filmmaking workshop, concert, and education camp are also held during the festival. With financial and administrative support from Busan Metropolitan City Office and many foremost enterprises, BiKi and Asia KFKF are able to pursuit their goals smoothly.
Having started its pre-festival in 2005, BiKi has been holding a festival every year in August since 2006 during summer vacation for school children. The 6th BiKi Festival in the year of 2011 will be held from 12th through 16th and Asia KFKF will open on 14th and go through until 16th in August.
