“Here My Village” won CIFEJ Prize in the 5th SIFFCY which was held from 9 to 15 of December 2019 in New Delhi, India. This Iranian film has been written, directed and produced by Abbas Aram.
The members of CIFEJ jury were: Pamela Bisson from Canada, Mohsen Chiniforoushan from Iran and Josep Arbiol from Spain.
This film is about a 12-year-old boy named Farhad who is living with his mother and his 6-year-old sister in a village called Nahooj. He lost his father 5 years earlier and is crazy about photos and magazines. One day, he goes to the city and gets fascinated by a second hand camera in the shop window. He tries hard to work and to buy the camera, but he does not succeed. Finally, he sells one of their sheep to buy the camera. But he encounters with big problems and challenges.
