CIFEJ offers its condolences the death of Rock Demers, to all his colleagues and friends, as well as his family.
Here is the message about her from Mohsen Chiniforoushan, the Secretary General of CIFEJ:
“Dear Friends
We are going through difficult days and it gets harder when we hear the news of the loss of a friend and colleague. I only saw Rock Demers once, but that one time was enough for me to be devoted to him. A man with a perpetual smile who was a great artist and cinematographer, and did great work in the field of children's cinema. Since around 40 years ago, Rock had a great role in CIFEJ and put a lot of energy into it with love and passion and without expectations. He was the first person who received the CIFEJ Award for a lifetime achievement in the field of children cinema. And if we are together now; thinking of promoting children's cinema and better beauty for our children, we are indebted to these loved ones such as Rock Demers. I have sweet and good notes and emails from him that are very valuable to me. I offer my condolences to his family and friends on his death. I hope all of you are healthy and happy.Mohsen”
