Film and Cinema is, without doubt, the most beautiful, effective, and popular media; and animation, especially if it is for children and the youth, is the most interesting and favorable one among various genres of film.
Children and young adults who spend their best time of learning are specially used to animation; they live with the hero of cartoon films; they mutter, daydream, and identify with these characters. Thus, it’s upon us to make them familiar with the wonderful world of animation.
The best method for this is to teach them practically in a workshop how to produce animation with a sweet and simple language.
The workshop that is held by the great educator and animator, Mr. Erling Erikson, has such specifications and I would like to express my thanks of him for accepting to head this workshop.
Int’l Center of Films for Children and Young Adults (CIFEJ) has planned several programmes for the publicizing and promotion of this valuable art among which is organizing such workshops for teaching animations to children and the youth.
From other hand, ISESCO that is an active well known organization in the field of art and culture in the Islamic countries, with its great concern for children and the youth, has taken an important and efficient step for the acknowledgement, training, and promotion of kid artists. And I hope this kind of collaboration continues more vastly in future.
I take it as my responsibility not only to express my special thanks of the Regional Office of ISESCO in Tehran, but also, to thank the Europe College in Baku, and all the others who had a role in organizing this workshop. All of us cooperated to organize this workshop in the beautiful city of Baku-Azerbaijan.
CIFEJ hopes that it can provide the situation for initiating an international animation club for children and young adults through organizing such workshops in future.
