In the 11th DYTIATKO International Children Media Festival which was held in Kharkiv, Ukraine from 3 to 7 of September 2019, a film from Estonia named “Phantom Owl Forest” could win the CIFEJ Prize. The film is directed and written by Anu Aun. The producers of this film are “Maie Rosmann” and “Maario Masing”.
The CIFEJ jury member was Elham Shirvani from Iran.
This 90 minutes film talks about a 10-year old girl, Eia whose Christmas plans take an unexpected turn, when the city girl is brought to a mysterious Southern Estonian farm for the winter holiday. At first the girl does not even realize she will soon save a doomed forest, bring together two people in love and untangle a secret held closely in the family.
