In the MICE Festival, CIFEJ Days were held during which an animation workshop was held for some of the students of a small town near Valencia, and some of CIFEJ Prize winner films were screened for free for the children in different cities of Valencia province.
Amirhossein Alimorad and Crystal Kohestani who are CIFEJ members from Iran, were the trainers of this workshop. The workshop was held from 10 to 15 of February 2019 and the students who participated in were about 16 to 17 years of age. The technique which was taught was puppet stop motion and each participant made his/her own puppet and a very interesting animation was made about the life of these puppets. This animation was screened in 22nd of February.
The CIFEJ Prize winner films which were screened for the children were:
"Whallay" from Burkina Faso
"End of the Dreams" from Iran
In 14 of Feb. there was a big CIFEJ Day in Biar, a beautiful town in Valencia province in which the ambassador of UNESCO in Spain attended and took part in a meeting with the Secretary General and 3 members of CIFEJ including Josep Arbiol the director of MICE, Jitendra Mishra and Elham Shirvani. There were very good discussions about how CIFEJ can rejoin to UNESCO.
The animation made by children has been uploaded on the CIFEJ animation CKC website and you can watch it in the following link:
