CIFEJ Days were held in Shiraz, Iran from 17 to 22 of November 2018 with the coordination of CIFEJ HQ, Sarv-e-Naz Gallery, Ms. Mahgan Farhang (CIFEJ member) and also some governmental and non-governmental organizations and institutions.
An animation workshop was held for children, run by Azadeh Shakoori, member of CIFEJ, during 4 days. The animation which has been made by children will be uploaded very soon on CIFEJ AnimationCKC website (www.animationckc.com). Some of the CIFEJ Prize winner films and also some of Kanoon productions were screened for more than 2500 children in some of the best cinema halls of Shiraz. Some big televisions had been also taken to some schools to facilitate watching films for the children.
There were some prominent points during these screenings. For example, an animation about self-protecting was shown before any screen to give very helpful informations about how the children can take care of themselves. The other point was that the films were also screened for handicapped children; mentally or physically, and a considerable number of underprivileged children. For some of them, it was their first time in the cinema.
The ceremony started with the reviewing of the message from Mohsen Chiniforoushan, the Secretary General of CIFEJ which was read by Elham Shirvani, the Executive Director. And it continued with the screening of the film “Pinocchio, Amoo Sardar and Reyis Ali” which has been directed by Reza Safi and has won some national and international awards. The films which were screened for children were:
The End of Dreams
Knock Out
Cloudy Children
The Farmer and the Robot
The little Sparrow
