34 CIFEJ members from different countries gathered together in Hyderabad to take part in the CIFEJ General Assembly.

The First Day (the 11th of Nov.)
It started with the welcoming message by Shravan Kumar, the CEO of CFSI that hosted the event. Then it continued with the president message which was read by Faith Isiakpere, and then the Secretary General report on CIFEJ activities since the last GA in China (2014) and also the financial report.
After the lunch the candidates of presidency and then the board membership candidates, presented themselves and talked about their programs and motivation of candidacy to the participants. Then Josep Arbiol, CIFEJ member from Spain, presented his Festival MICE to the members.

The Second Day (the 12th of Nov.)                                   
Mahgan Farhang, CIFEJ member from Iran talked about her project named “Film in Schools” and the outcomes of her research. Then two CIFEJ members from Greece presented about 2 important projects of CIFEJ. Vassilis Karamitsanis had a presentation on CIFEJ first Regional Office in Greece and then Yiannis Hadjikomnou introduced the project of “Fest of Fest” which is going to be held in Greece in July 2018.
The next step was the election of President. Dr. Shravan Kumar was elected as the CIFEJ President. Then the election of Board Members took place and 7 Directors of the Board were elected. They are:

There was a presentation titled “Children’s Movies on the Move” by Sannette Naeye, CIFEJ member from Netherlands.
 Liset Cotera, member from Mexico also presented her festival “La Matatena” and screened one of the films made by Mexican children during their workshops.
The GA finished with the master class run by Russel Miller on the topic of “Unstuck in the Middle: the Past, Present and Specially the Future of Children’s Cinema”.
