The CIFEJ Jury Members at the 42nd Roshd International Educational Film Festival, Iran - including Rasoul Sadr Ameli, CIFEJ member from Iran, and Liset Cotera, CIFEJ member from Mexico -  announced “A Flame In The Wind”, directed and co-written by “Farhad Mehranfar” as the winner of the CIFEJ Prize at this festival.

This film also received the Golden Award and cash prize of the festival in the competition section of fiction films.

.Farhad Mehranfar has studied cinema at the University of Art (1977-1985).

He has made more than 50 documentary films and 4 feature films; he is also the scriptwriter of most of his films. He has been the art director of Kiarostami's "And Life Goes On...".  He has got several national and international awards for his works.

 In this tele-film, he has depicted the joys and sorrows of two student girls, one living in a village in Gilan, in the northern part of Iran, and the other living in Qeshm, an Island in the south of Iran.
