Animate it! CIFEJ Headquarters with the kind support of ISESCO organizes the first animation workshops for young adults in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Animate it! This is the title of the workshop held by the eminent Swedish animator and educator, Erling Ericsson, from 8th-12th Dec, 2010.
Children of Baku welcomed this initiation so warmly and excitedly that we saw it as necessary to extend the workshop. Thus, with the kind assistance and cooperation of Ericsson, 2 workshops were immediately arranged, one in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. Tens of children were divided in groups so that each one of them could create an animation film in the end of the workshop.
Children of Baku are amazingly talented and keen to learn.
Last night, about 40 children of the more than 60 participants in these workshops could finish their works and enjoyed watching their films created by themselves.
“Film is a language spoken all over the world, a unique combination of words, pictures, movement, and sound, introducing great possibilities of communication.
New techniques have made the language of film available to everyone, offering new tools and expressions, especially for schools. Let students convey their thoughts, ideas, and knowledge through animated films. Explore film from the first syllable. Seize the thought. Animate it!” E. Ericsson
