“Are You Volleyball? “; the winner of CIFEJ Prize in the 30th International Film Festival for Children and Youth

Mohammad Bakhshi, a young Iranian director won the CIFEJ Prize for his film “Are you Volleyball?” in the 30th International Film Festival for Children and Youth which was held from the 30th of June to the 6th of July in Isfahan, Iran. CIFEJ jury members were Firdoze Bulbulia from South Africa, Sannette Naeye from the Netherlands and Mohsen Chiniforoushan from Iran. They have chosen this film because they believe this film is outstanding in all perspectives and has a very high production value. In only 15 minutes, it tells a many layered though crystal clear story that tells the essence of human relations and the troubles that come with it and its script has a universal appeal. The story is about a group of refugees who have arrived at the border of a country but the soldiers and guards are being mean to them. Some kids however pave the way for their getting closer to each other…
