CIFEJ Board meeting and CIFEJ Days in Dubai, 1 -5 of March 2016

CIFEJ board meeting and CIFEJ Days were held in Dubai from the 1st to the 5th of March 2016. Adab School hosted the event. Mohsen Chiniforoushan, Faith Isiakpere, Vinod Ganatra, Ali Moallem, Maikki Kantola, Volodymyr Dyagilev and Christine Mendoza were the board members who took part in the meeting. Some important subjects were discussed during the meeting including the next GA, reviewing the activities of CIFEJ during the previous year, reviewing Professor Dragan Milinkovic’s project “Film in Schools” which had been performed in Iran, writing a book about the problems of children cinema and the solutions and … In the second day of the meeting, Dr. Shravan Kumar, the CEO of CFSI, who is CIFEJ member from India, attended at the meeting to talk about his proposal for having the GA in India and discussing about how CIFEJ and CFSI increase their collaborations and communications for helping the children’s cinema.
CIFEJ Days were also held in Dubai during which 25 young people participated in the puppet stop motion workshop. Amir Hossein Alimorad, the CIFEJ member trained the workshop. 6 CIFEJ Prize winner films were also screened for more than 500 children. The films which were screened were:
-           When I Was a Child (Iran)
-          Ashi Mashi; Little Sparrow (Iran)
-          Cloudy Children (Iran)
-          Father (Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany)
-          The Gruffalo (UK)
-          The Dreamer (Indonesia)
