38th LUCAS International Children's Film Festival in Frankfurt/Main, Germany

Children's films from all around the world are cordially invited to sign up for the 38th LUCAS International Children's Film Festival taking place in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, from Sept. 27th till Oct. 04th, 2015.
This year recent films for a young audience will again be competing for the LUCAS Awards:
From the competition of children's films the festival jury will award the best short film and the best animated short film with 3.000 Euro each, as well as a feature length film (live action, animation or documentary) with 7.500 Euro.
By the jury consisting of 14-to 18- years-olds will also be chosen the Sir Peter Ustinov Youth Film Award as well as the Newcomer Award, bestowed with 1.000 Euro each.
The screening format is 35mm and DCP. The festival director can decide in individual cases on admitting Blu-ray discs or HD video files.
The festival print as well as the pre-selection DVD or video screener needs to be available with English subtitles.
For pre-selections only films are eligible which have been finished since January 2014.
Submission is currently open until May 3rd, 2015.
